There are a lot of different hair loss treatment options, but not all of them are available everywhere. Some are only available by prescription. However, that doesn’t mean that the best hair loss treatment is only available by prescription. Different treatments will work best for different people. You might find that the best treatment for you is one that you can simply buy over the counter.

If you don’t feel comfortable seeing a doctor about your hair loss, there are over-the-counter options you can try. These OTC treatments do not work for everyone, and there aren’t many clinical studies to show how effective most of these over-the-counter products are.

You can also find OTC hair loss treatments online through major retailers like Amazon, as well as from your local pharmacy and most popular pharmacies.

Before you buy anything, you should make sure that the products that you choose to treat your hair loss are regulated and safe to use. If you’re not sure, ask a clinician for advice. They should be able to let you know if the product you want can be effective.

Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, and high street pharmacies

If you have a prescription for a hair loss treatment, most pharmacies will be able to dispense it for you. Aside from that, they might also have some over-the-counter options for you to try. Make sure to consult with a clinician or pharmacist before taking anything so they can make sure that the treatment is right for you.

Some pharmacies offer hair loss treatment for both men and women but they mostly only sell OTC options, like: vitamins, shampoos, conditioners, and concealers. You can also get Rogaine at most well-known pharmacies. Rogaine is a foam that’s applied directly to your scalp. Some studies have shown that it can be effective for the treatment of male pattern baldness. Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart offer OTC and prescription treatments (such as Finasteride and Propecia).

Getting hair loss treatment from supermarkets

Getting hair loss treatments from supermarkets such as Walmart could be more convenient for you, as you can do it while you’re doing your regular shopping, rather than having to travel somewhere solely to get hair loss treatment.

Most supermarkets have a medicinal section. Larger supermarkets often even have an in-store pharmacy where you can fill your prescription. For example, the Walmart pharmacy allows you to get your prescription filled and reviewed by a pharmacist.. All you have to do is collect the medication at your local Walmart in-store pharmacy.

The downsides of getting hair loss treatment from supermarkets is that not every store will have a pharmacy, and options may be limited. There is a chance that you won’t find the best treatment for you there.
